The battery on a 2-wheeler plays an essential role in starting the vehicle and powering electrical components such as lights, indicators and dashboard.

When starting the engine, the battery is discharged and recharged while driving by way of the voltage regulator. Frequent short trips can accelerate battery depletion, and cold temperatures can reduce performance.

 

Over time, battery capacity diminishes, eventually leading to the need for replacement. There are many different types of batteries for motorcycles, scooters and mopeds, with different dimensions, polarities and voltages, making the choice sometimes a bit difficult.
